Who wouldn’t love an Orangery for Christmas? With their abundance of light and connection to the garden, it’s easy to understand why this type of wedding venue is becoming increasingly popular.  An Orangery effortlessly creates the feeling that you and your wedding guests are enjoying your wedding breakfast sat outside, when in truth you are sheltered from the weather, keeping your guests dry even if it should decide to drizzle.  So along with some traditional fresh oranges, nuts and of course some chocolate, all the wedding team at Hayne House really want to find in their extra-large Christmas stocking is an Orangery.

How is The Orangery at Hayne House build coming along?

On Monday 9th October 2017 Hamptons Conservatories Ltd started building the bespoke hardwood timber Orangery, within the gardens of the private estate of Hayne House.  Since arriving in Saltwood, the builders have already poured over 55 tons of concrete for The Orangery floor.  They have also lifted three glass lanterns into place and fitted just under 350 joists into position to form the substantial roof and ceiling of The Orangery, that of course, we are going to hang romantic chandeliers from – we are a wedding venue after all!

On completion, The Orangery at Hayne House will provide the perfect wedding venue.  This imaginative, inventive, unique and spacious contemporary glasshouse, located within the gardens, complete with a built-in-bar, toilets, underfloor heating, surround sound and disabled access, will become the perfect all in one blank leaf wedding venue, which once complete, can be enjoyed all year round.

Why did we select Hampton Conservatories Ltd to design and build The Orangery at Hayne House?

During our research into Orangeries and Glasshouses, it became apparent that Hampton Conservatories Ltd differ from other Orangery manufactures, as they use sustainable Sapelle Mahogany to produce the main components within their Glasshouses. Hampton Conservatories Ltd choose this wood type, as it is one of the most dense and durable available, making it more suitable for external joinery (doors and window sashes).  But also important this particular mahogany has a very fine texture, due to its dense grain and molecular structure, which results in a particularly high-quality paint finish, all important for a wedding venue located within a garden, where we want everything to be perfect for your wedding day.

Why are we so excited about The Orangery at Hayne House?

On completion, The Orangery at Hayne House will be a substantial structure, providing the perfect blank canvas for your wedding.  Together with the luxury of being located outdoors within the garden, The Orangery will provide the ideal space for vintage, romantic and botanical style weddings.

We have worked with Hampton Conservatories Ltd to create a venue that maximizes the use of natural light with the three large lanterns placed within the roof of The Orangery in addition to a 180-degree panoramic view of the garden through the 12 full length patio doors – so no matter what the weather the purpose-built wedding venue will give you and your guests that real WOW factor.

Is The Orangery at Hayne House near me?

The Orangery at Hayne House is located on the outskirts of the historic village of Saltwood, set in 35 acres of private landscaped English gardens, near the Kent coast.  Less than an hour by train from St Pancras, we are also located near to the M20, a main artery out of London and we are less than 30 miles from France as the Euro Star flies!  With lots of nearby B&Bs, Self-Catering Accommodation and Hotels, due to its proximity to Europe, Hayne House wedding venue is already one of the most sought-after locations in Kent, the Garden of England.

When is The Orangery at Hayne House going to be complete and available to book for weddings and events?

The graceful and elegant Orangery is due for completion in Spring 2018.  When complete, The Orangery at Hayne House will provide the perfect space your indoor wedding ceremony but we also have an outdoor porch for sunny days.  It will also provide the perfect wedding breakfast space, comfortably seating 120 day guests and for your additional friends The Orangery will provide the perfect evening wedding reception (up to 150).  Honestly, we can’t think of a better place to celebrate romance, and under the twinkling stars, drink bubbles with your loved ones – can you?
