How do I come up with ideas for my wedding table decorations?
Since 1963, Pantone, the worldwide authority on colour, have been releasing their colour predictions annually. Their colour forecasts are always greeted with great enthusiasm, as they influence what colour clothes we wear, what colour car we buy, what colours we decorate our homes with and what colours bride and grooms might select for their wedding themes.
This year’s colour palette for 2017 and 2018 introduces us to ten exciting colours, that includes a mixture of tones and hues that reflect vitality, relaxation and are inspired by the great outdoors.
One of the colours that really caught our attention here at Hayne House was Pink Yarrow (Pantone ref 17-2034). A festive coloured versatile pink that is inspired by a cultivated flower, Pink Yarrow that blooms from midsummer into the autumn – often seen in stately homes long borders.
We really liked this pop of tropical pink, as it can be incorporated playfully into weddings, for example, by wearing bright pink shoes that peep out from under a long white wedding dress, or it would be perfect for your wedding stationery.
We like the colour so much, that this vibrant tantalising pink took centre stage at our first Open Day. We used it on our wedding styled tablescape and within the Hall of Edward V111s hunting lodge.
We opted for Pink Yarrow, as we believe it is a great attention-grabbing, stimulating colour that is fun and when we mixed it with other pinks, (such as chalk- pink roses and bright pink orchids and raspberry napkins) our tablescape looked truly luscious.
How do I decorate my wedding table on a budget?
For this wedding reception round tablescape we kept our costs very low as we just used a florist and then for our wedding favours they are seeds from the local garden centre, as we wanted to spread a bit of love. Of course, if your budget is being stretched and you don’t want to be left with table decorations you can always hire in items such as Manson Jars through wedding hire companies.
Why attend an Open Day?
If you haven’t booked a wedding venue, we believe that attending an Open Day is a far more relaxed and inspiring way of viewing the venue, meeting the staff and being inspired. At our Open Day on Sunday 13th November 2016, it certainly brought smiles to our recently engaged couples who were looking to book the new purpose built Orangery, opening in April 2018.
If you are recently engaged (or know someone else looking for a garden wedding in Kent in 2017 or 2018), why not book to come along to our next Open Day on Sunday 8th January 2017 between 10am and 4pm? Please email email@example.com or ring us on 01303 262555
